More people are taking more interest portraying their image. From celebrities to models, most people get their ideas from TV, billboards, Movies and magazines. It’s hard not to get the hype about updating your fashion when people, their friends or mates react positively when they see David Beckham posing in his CK boxer shorts or showing off his designer stubble. It is the same thing that happens to women for what they seem to like and men begin to get a little self conscious about themselves.
Today, Internet, TV and magazine seem to be full of incredibly pretty woman all dressed up to the tens. This kind of portrayal advertised that in order for people to like you, you have to dress well in front of them. In short, it makes you feel that these people are out of my league.
In reality, that should not be the case and the basis to get people to like you. You should not be affected by that trend especially if you know how to get yourself to look good according to your capacity. Rushing out to buy a new suit or dress that you see from a celebrity or model you saw two days ago is a waste of your hard earned money.
To be clear, the majority of celebrities and models you see on TV or billboards are paid and sponsored. As a result, it targets people of a certain height, age, body shape, and type in order to make them appear attractive to them. Not only that, but some pop stars can get away with dressed like punks. But for the average person, that is something to consider first. You don’t want to make a bad impression on people who see you at school, work, or even going to the grocery store.
Dress to what you do.
That is how you properly show your fashion style. We are not celebrities or models and we don’t wanna be. We’re office clerks, teachers, engineers or we can be builders, bricklayers and all those other jobs where you couldn’t want to wear an Armani suit.
Perhaps one of the most important things the tradesman can own is good quality workwear. Good quality workwear keeps you warm. It keeps you dry. But above all else it keeps you safe.
One often overlooked point of workwear is how long one wears it for. For example the average electrician works about nine hours Monday to Friday. That’s nearly fifty hours a week! Not to mention the time it takes to get to and from work and remember some people don’t change clothes when they get in from work. (We’re talking about work wear, not actually work.) If we also say the average person sleeps for eight hours a night, which equates to 56 hours a week. So out of a one hundred and sixty eight hour week our Joe Bloggs average electrician spends around a third of his time in his work gear.
Dress up accordingly
Because most people spend so much time at work, it is acceptable to buy the best you can afford. To counter the mindset “It’s only for work, any old this will do.” That is not going to be a good tag line. Dressing appropriately for your job is always a good way to demonstrate your dedication to your work and your respect for the people you work with.
In making an effort for work not only will you look physically better. You will mentally feel much more successful and confident. Even if it’s just a small amount. In this day and age this writer definitely believes its worth in.
Being trendy and fashionable is always a good thing
Once you start dressing better for work you’ll sub consciously start dressing better all the time. There aren’t many companies out there that make nice work wear. Most of it is functional and fashionable never. However I do know of a few, and in which way to point you. Snickers is a Swedish company that has got a fantastic looking range of garments that haven’t lost their ruggedness or their functionality. Another Company that most of you will have heard off is CAT or Caterpillar. And Finally one more for good luck.
You can start with nice t-shirts for work. Shirts when you’re off, and not a saggy looking shirt either. A nice, trendy shirt is a good start in your journey to look more fashionable.
